Description
The 800G OSFP to QSFP-DD Active Optical Cable (AOC) is a high-speed cross-form-factor optical interconnect designed to connect compatible 800G Ethernet equipment using OSFP and QSFP-DD interfaces. Supporting 106.25Gbps PAM4 per lane across eight optical channels, it provides 800G-class bandwidth while eliminating the need for separate optical transceiver modules and fiber patch cables. The cable integrates 850nm VCSEL transmitter arrays and PIN photodetector arrays with OM3 multimode fiber to support transmission distances of up to 30m. DSP-based signal processing, DDM/DOM support, hot-pluggable connectors, and a 3.3V power architecture make it suitable for high-density switch-to-switch connections, AI and GPU clusters, HPC systems, and other 800G network deployments requiring connectivity between different pluggable form factors.
