The SC/APC Pushable to SC/APC Simplex OS2 Single Mode Fiber Optic Patch Cable is specifically designed to solve installation challenges in confined network environments. Traditional SC connectors often require significant clearance for the strain relief boot and latch mechanism, which can make it difficult or impossible to connect cables in recessed ports, compact equipment enclosures, or wall-mounted optical terminals. This cable integrates an innovative pushable SC/APC connector that features a flexible, low-profile housing capable of compressing during installation. The design allows technicians to connect fiber ports in spaces as narrow as 15mm, making it ideal for dense fiber environments and equipment with limited accessibility.

Built with OS2 9/125µm single mode fiber, the cable supports high-speed optical transmission across wavelengths ranging from 1260nm to 1625nm. The OS2 fiber standard provides extremely low attenuation and low dispersion, enabling reliable operation in modern high-bandwidth networks including 10G, 40G, and 100G systems. Over a short 10-meter distance, the intrinsic fiber loss is negligible, ensuring that link performance is primarily determined by connector precision and optical interface quality. This makes the cable suitable for high-performance applications where stable signal transmission and minimal optical loss are essential.

Both ends of the cable are terminated with SC/APC connectors featuring an 8-degree angled polish. This APC geometry effectively redirects reflected light away from the fiber core, delivering excellent return loss performance typically exceeding 60dB. Such high return loss is particularly important in sensitive optical systems including FTTH networks, analog optical transmission, and high-power laser applications. The green connector housing follows industry identification standards, allowing quick visual confirmation of APC interfaces and preventing improper mating with UPC connectors.

One end of the cable features the pushable connector design, which compresses during insertion and then returns to its original form once the connection is established. This flexible mechanism reduces stress on the fiber during installation and helps prevent damage caused by bending or pulling near the connector. Despite its specialized design, the pushable connector maintains full compatibility with standard SC adapters and bulkheads, allowing it to integrate seamlessly with existing fiber infrastructure while greatly improving installation flexibility in tight or recessed environments.
